Diamond Key Resort is located in the North Eastern Corner of the Georgian Bay at the mouth of the Key River. 

When coming to Diamond Key, you arrive at:

Camp Dore – Key River - https://campdore.com/location/

1. Drive to Camp Dore (1km from Highway #69/400)
2. Park at Camp Dore
3. Launch your boat
4. You then drive/fish your way down the protected waters of the Key River.
1. About 12 Km (9 miles)
2. There are two slow/no wake zones.   Please respect the signage
3. Great fishing along the way
4. Once at Key Harbor Lodge (on your right), pass through the “green” and “red” channel buoys and then head South (left).
1. You will see our Canadian Flag at the Camp
2. Do “not” hug the shorelines as there are shoals

You can inquire about a water taxi or additional boat rentals through Camp Dore or Key Harbour Lodge.
If you are planning to do some fishing with minnows E&R Tackle & Bait in Pointe au Baril is in our district. Please keep your receipt handy for proof of where they were purchased.

From Sudbury
Hwy 69 South to last exit on right side of hwy just before Key River.

Getting here is easy as the highway is well marked.   For our American visitors, you are in for a treat.   Actually, the majority of our guests are from the U.S., travelling in groups to come and experience the wilderness, fishing and great times.   In terms of supplies, there are several towns and cities along the highway where you can stop and pick up groceries, supplies; and a liquor store right on the highway.

The North East Corner of Georgian Bay and the North Shore Delta of Pickerel and French Rivers are a treasure. They are now protected by the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve http://www.gbbr.ca as well as the French River Provincial Park system. http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/fren.html. We are within eight miles of the historic Bustard Islands. When we say 30,000 islands, we aren’t exaggerating.   Just as important, our area is famous for large Northern Pike, trophy Walleye and an abundance of large and smallmouth bass.  While we tend not to target Muskie, they are out there – hunting, and each year a few of our guest get a pleasant surprise.

Once at the camp, Diamond Key offers a panoramic view of the Georgian Bay and the many islands and shoals to the West. The main lodge and cabins have been carefully planned to ensure everyone’s privacy. All have a view and those beautiful sunsets; the entire property faces west. The best fishing is within minutes of the lodge, all in protected waters. We like to say that once you are at Diamond Key, you will feel the serenity of a fly in fishing camp, but at 45 minutes north of Parry Sound, much more convenient.
